Ashton in his towel-dress. This picture doesn't relate to anything we did today, and wasn't even taken today, but it's so cute, I had to post it. We were busy beavers today, with summer camp, swimming, and LOTS of bike riding.
We had the pool to ourselves today, because the club is closed on Monday. Only the employees were there, and I'm not sure they welcomed our arrival. The kids had so much fun, especially the little boys, that I didn't mind raining on the high-school wait-staff's parade. We changed our clothes when we got home to bike over to Tecumseh Acres and watch Peyton's practice, and Mason did such a good job keeping up with me and Ashton. We got there in one piece, and headed over to the field- which was empty. Wrong field, and so we trudged back home for dinner. After dinner we took a family bike ride, and Mason was able to rest his little legs while Sean did the bulk of the peddling. My sore behind is starting to recover, and I hope we keep up the pace with our bike riding. My next step is to buy a basket so I can do small errands and save some gas (and the environment, yeah!).
Speaking of Eco-consciousness, I also got a clothesline today. The only problem is, I can't figure out a good place to tie the thing. My neighbors have a cemented-in hole in the ground that a pole fits in to attach a retractable line to, but it would take too much work to rig that up. I just want to attach it to the trampoline, or anything sturdy in the yard, since we have no trees. I am feeling full of good intentions, hopefully some of them will be carried out.
