Yesterday (above) and today (below). Can you see the snow on the ground?
Even though there is snow (that's right, SNOW) on the ground today, the boys are still learning some spring lessons. We are growing sunflowers on our windowsill, and they have shot up so quickly that it's easy to see the difference day to day. Mason runs and checks the flowers each morning to mark their progress. Of course, the one that has grown most quickly in "his" and the other, shorter plant is Ashton's. We are also still patiently waiting for a bird to move into our bird house on the window, and waiting for the caterpillars to come in the mail for our butterfly house. Mason has been catching worms in the yard as "pets" and I'm afraid that they won't survive this cold spell in their glass jar on the patio. His suggestion this morning was to go outside and play hopscotch (which we have never played before???). It's hard to explain how yesterday was summery and today, winter. I'm glad we have two indoor activities to keep us busy today, because it's hard to be cooped up after getting a taste of spring freedom and fresh air.
