Sunday Mase and I saw Lia get baptized- she had the most beautiful baptism gown I have ever seen, it was just gorgeous. Like a mini wedding dress. Halfway through the Catholic Mass I realized that Mason has never sat through one- the only times he has been to church were Lutheran baptisms (his, Brianna's and Ashton's). He wiggled. He squirmed. He talked, LOUDLY. I'm in no hurry to start taking him to church on a regular basis, but now he has questions that I am not ready to answer, or simply don't know the answer to. I never went to catechism! Sounds like a job for Aunt Amber to me!
Yesterday the boys and I went to see Shrek the Third in Adrian. I loved it, because I can no longer stomach the scary or suspenseful adult movies that are all over the place, they make me anxious (and scared! as in the ring). Shrek and other kids movies seem to be just my speed lately. Ashton was my snuggle-buddy through the entire film, previews and all. The bag of popcorn I was holding seemed to help him stay put. Mason asked his customary five million questions, but thankfully didn't seem to expect an answer to most of them.
We had enchiladas for dinner last night that were honestly the best thing I have ever concocted. ever. They were so good, there are no leftovers to fight over.
Today we played at island park (way too hot) and are waiting for resting time to be over so we can break out the sprinkler. The kids and the grass need it today.
