The boys spent the night with Mimi last night, and they had so much fun at the little festival in Sylvania with her and PJ. Both boys stayed up late and got up early, and then Mimi took them to soccer at Cal-Zorn, where Mason got to be the goalie in the first real game. (he blocked one shot and missed one, and is extremely pleased with himself). I wish I could have seen it.
Ahhhhh...Kids Day is behind us. We are all tired to the bone, and I am extremely greatful to all of the help we received from family, friends and Kiwanians. This year was great, the demonstration from Sandoval's ATA was awesome. The girl scouts' table was a big hit, and so were the firemen hats. Ashton and Mason were both so good, they had a great time and toughed it out to the end. Mason and Peyton stayed even through cleanup, squeezing the most amount of fun they could out of the bouncy and facepainting. After watching the four-year old little boy do his tae-kwon-do demonstration I am really thinking about getting Mason involved. He was riveted while they were sparring, I think he would like it.
Now we have tomorrow to recover, take a deep breath and get ready for Saugatuck!!! Our garage sale winnings are going towards a dune buggy ride while we're there. One week left, and then schools out for summer!
