Sunny days at the pool

Here are the kiddos at the pool, the boys and my "niece" Peyton, as everyone there calls her. We are trying to use the pool more often this year, and it's easier than ever with Mason's new-found bravery in the water. The boys are taking swimlessons this week on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday; and the Club's annual Kid's Pool Party is Wednesday, so that means poor mom has to shave her legs more than usual this week. (If a certain curly-haired cousin would like to meet us out there sometime this week, we would be delighted!) Thursday is Mason's second week of T-ball, and Summer camp started today! We're having a busy week, and I'm glad (idle hands and all that).

Both boys were excited to be at summer camp this morning, we got there late because Ash slept for THREE HOURS later than usual. He is usually up around 6:00, and we finally heard him moving around at ten after 9! Ashton has never slept that late in his entire short little life, and wouldn't you know, it's on a day the rest of us were up & at 'em early as ever. I had to pack his breakfast up to go. Neither Mason or Ashton wanted to leave with me when I came to pick them up, so it must be a fun program.

In other exciting news, our silkworms are making cocoons. We have three so far, and the other worms are making me a little uneasy, as they keep climbing out of the box and rearing their wormy heads in the air. I think they are looking for the ideal place to make their own cocoons, I'm not thrilled about the prospect of finding one on the wall or under the cabinet.

Oh, and can you tell Ash had three inches cut off of his curly head? I can't, and I saw it being done!
