We biked across the world today- or at least it felt like we did. We decided to bike the Kiwanis trail that runs from Tecumseh to Adrian as far as we could go. To get to the trail we had to ride about a mile to Green Hwy to avoid all of the traffic on Occidental. It was so much fun, we stopped on every bridge and called out any type of wildlife that caught our eye for the rest of the family to admire. I'm sure the other bikers thought we were nuts, poking along and sporadically shouting "birdie" or "butterfly" or "ORANGE flower!!!". We made it to Underwood Nursery, about 7 miles from our house before we decided to turn back. I was so surprised that we had been riding for 2 hours when we got home. Half of that time was spent going back up the blankety-blank hill on Green Highway. I almost had to get off of the bike and walk to make it all the way up.
The kids are sleeping already, and I am going to follow suit here soon.
