Humble Beginnings
I have a very brown thumb, and have always been disappointed that I couldn't get a sunflower to grow (or a tomato, for that matter). This year I bought the little pots (above) that make it supposedly fool-proof, and I am so excited that not only did our little sunflowers grow; they look like I fed them flower steroids. The biggest one is just about the size of the house and has finally opened up. Mason thinks it looks sturdy enought to climb, like Jack and his beanstalk.
We went for a bike ride tonight, just downtown to walk around and check out the sidewalk sales. I thought this years' selection was pretty bad, and we spent most of our time in the *new* used bookstore. Then we went to Evans Street for dinner, and barely avoided meltdown after meltdown with Ash. He would not nap yet again today, and we are considering putting the crib's side back up. I refuse to believe that he is done napping- the thought gives me goosebumps.
Mimi and Suepy come back from their adventure late tonight, and we get to see them tomorrow at breakfast. Mason has a whole list of questions to ask them, so I hope they do get some sleep tonight.

holy makeral, batman!

So i don't have kids (yet) but from my babysitting experiences I've found not necessarily locking the door but gating it so he can't get out and eveytime he does get out just put him back in over and over. They get it, eventually. So that's my vote. Good Luck!!
