I see BIG fire!

What a marathon weekend! I am looking forward to the relative relaxation of Monday morning and the return to school. Friday we went to the Clinton Fall Festival. I always get excited to go to festivals and events this time of year, I think of cider and pumpkins, face painting and hayrides. Instead, we spend 99% of our time at the bouncies set up in the tennis court. That's all the boys were interested in, and my cold had me so wiped out that I gave in and just watched the boys bounce.
Saturday we picked up Uncle Jerome from grandpa's house and took him to breakfast with Mimi, Aunt Suepy, Uncle Brad and Aunt Sandy. Mimi took the boys for the night and Sean and I went to my 10- year reunion in good ole' Ida. When we picked the boys up they were exhausted, Mimi always keeps them busy. They went to the 577 foundation and collected all kinds of cool things; pine cones and a rock with fossils in it. Mason is going to take all of it to show his friends at school tomorrow. They also got to eat out at Two Toots (I think that's the name) the restaurant that serves the food on a train, which was obviously a big hit with both boys.
The house down the street from Mimi caught on fire early Sunday morning, and the street was filled with fire trucks and foam. Ashton was enthralled, and wanted to watch as long as possible. He loved the trucks, and the firemen let him climb up into the driver's seat. All evening he has been saying "I see BIG fire, yah. It orng, (orange) ellow (yellow) and red".
Mason had to miss out on football today because I was hosting Heather's sprinkle, and our plans for Ash fell through. Sean was too sick to watch Mason and keep track of Ashton by himself, so the boys stayed home all afternoon and irritated each other. I'm bummed that Mason won't have a football picture, but I ever get my camera back, I will try to simulate a professional one.
After such a full weekend everyone is whipped- Ashton actually passed out on the floor in the living room at 6:30!
