Trick Or Treat!

We finally tackled pumpkin-carving (after letting the biggest one rot) and were all ready for the real fun: trick-or-treating. Grandma, Papa and Grandpa all came over for dinner and then went with us around the neighborhood. This year it was as bright as day when the siren sounded to begin the Halloween festivities, which is great with little ones. Ashton had no idea what he was supposed to be doing, but he caught on quickly, running to people's doors after a few houses. His tactic was to hit up each person who was sitting at a house to pass out candy, getting multiple treats at each stop, and he was cute enough to make it work. We hit all of our neighborhood friend's houses and all of the houses with cool decorations or music, and then let the boys pass out candy. Each boy picked out one treat; Ashton a tootsie pop and Mason a crunch bar, and they sampled each other's picks before leaving the rest of the loot for the Halloween Witch (A.K.A. Mom and Dad).
It was a great Halloween!
****Thank you, everyone, for calling Mase on his birthday, he felt really special getting so many phone calls. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful day.
