Here is a picture of Mason at school - he finally caught Elizabeth. I'm not sure who the other little boy is, we'll just call him "shot spoiler".
We have had a nice-n-easy weekend. Friday was lazy day, we just hung around the house and relaxed. After dinner we took the boys to Kelly Inflatables to bounce, and then treated them (and ourselves) to smores made in the fireplace.
Saturday we all met Suepy for breakfast and then went to rake leaves at Grandpa's house. The boys always have such a good time in his big backyard, and on this trip the horses next door came to the fence to say hello. We fed them apples and patted their noses, Ashton was mesmerized.
After we got home and out of our leafy clothes, Ash went down for a nap and Mason and I saw the JCC Jets in their first game of the season. It was so much fun, I only feel bad that my answers to Mason's many questions were less than technical. Mason loved to cheer for the girls, loved the music, and hated the buzzer. We got to see Ehrika in action for the first time since her high school coaching days.
Today was the last football game of the season, and you could really, really tell. The kids on both teams were goofballs throughout, but Mason's team definitely takes the cake for goofiness. It was hard to tell at some parts of the game if the two teams were playing each other at all. There was a two team ref-tackle (you've seen that in the pros, right?) and much more silliness. The highlight was Jack's two spectacular runs, during both he flashed a gigantic grin at his fans as he ran past.
Tomorrow is back to the grind!
