Ho Ho Ho

At the Santa Brunch

At the Parade

We saw Santa...twice! The first time was at the annual Christmas parade (where the city actually tossed out PILL BOXES to the children lining the street) and then we saw him today at the Santa Brunch. Mason sat next to Santa and accepted his chocolate-kiss filled candy cane wordlessly, but Ash melted down. He bent at the waist so he couldn't see Santa and Santa couldn't see him.
The food was wonderful this year, and my goal was to get the family to eat as much as possible so I don't have to worry about making dinner later. Ash was right on track with my plan, he ate everything from whitefish to muffins and fruit. He's feeling better! Mason ate very little, and because he had a fever last night I'm worried he might be getting what Ash just got over. I'm dreading another home-bound week, so hopefully Mase's immune system can kick it out a little faster than Ashton's did.
Mimi watched the boys after breakfast Saturday, so Sean and I got our Christmas shopping all wrapped up (he he) and we actually had a good time doing it. Later that day we took the boys to see the 2,000 luminaries at hidden lake gardens, and they both really enjoyed it. We drove around twice because it was a quick display, and we had to get our $12 worth!
Both of my handsome little men are snoozing away right now, and we're hoping we can see our buddies Bren and Peyton for our gift exchange later this afternoon. We miss them!
