Home Again

Today school was cancelled, but I am really glad. There is so much snow that we couldn't get up our driveway when we got home yesterday, and I was not looking forward to driving in it today! The boys and I are hanging out in our jammies, we made chocolate chippers and are listening to Christmas music.
Sean and I had a wonderful weekend away, it was so much fun to get on the slopes again. I managed to stay upright most of the time- Sean even fell more than I did! I won't let him forget it, either. We skied on Friday and on Saturday, with a lunch break (followed by a nap for me) on Saturday. Sean skied far more than I did, he is a trooper. The temperature dipped to about 10 degrees with icy snow fall, and I reached my limit. We had a great time in Cadillac, and managed to find some of the best little diners and coffee shops to visit while we were there. Only the ride home Sunday was disappointing, the rest of the trip was better than I had hoped. It is wonderful to have the boys back, even though they always sleep better for Mimi than they do for me. It was delicious to wake up to Ashy's morning "love ritual". He likes to hug and kiss and tell you how much he loves you (repeatedly) while he snuggles in your bed. I think I missed that the most, it's hard to feel grumpy in the morning with a little arm crooked around your neck and wet kisses being planted on your face. We may venture out later to attempt building a snowman, hopefully our buddies down the road will have made it home by then!
