Yesterday Mason got to support the Jets, as a "waterboy" with his buddy Peyton. He was so excited for the trip that I was even able to talk him into having a nap before hand. I think it helped that he was completely worn out from spending the night at Uncle Tony and Aunt Jami's house. Brennan came to hang out with us while Mason was at the game, and he was so much fun. It was interesting to see what having two the same age would be like, and in a lot of ways it was easier. They both are talkers, but aren't as demanding in thier conversation like the older ones are, and that can be a nice break. They played so well together, both of them understanding perfectly what the other wanted to do, and took turns running the show. Mason and Ash have really been butting heads lately, so it was fun to have two kids who played happily with one another. They both snuggled up to me for story after story- I have to admit I loved that- two boys who aren't old enough to refuse "lovins", as we call it here. The only difficult part was keeping up with them- if they leave the room you had better follow, or there may be a surprise waiting for you. The boys banded together as partners in crime when they threw all of the play food down the stairs, giggling the whole time. They took time-outs together, and it was so funny, because they kept sneaking looks at each other and laughing. Sean and I were cracking up watching them, we had to take a picture.
Today my goal is to not leave the house- when you can see the wind gusting around in your backyard it is a good day for a fire and snuggling up.
