You're my Balentine

Both boys declared their love to me in the car on the way to school, and I was tickled. Mason said "Mom, guess what? You're my valentine." and Ash, not to be undone, piped in with his version: "No, Mom, you're MY balentine." That's what I call a good valentines morning. Needless to say, we have nothing else planned for love-day. Mason requested the snack basket for today, and we spent some time dreaming up fun valentine's day treats for his class. We settled on an all-red fruit salad coated in pink strawberry yogurt, and a popcorn snack mix with freeze-dried cranberries and raspberry yogurt covered pretzels to sweeten it up. Ash was pretty hot under the collar that he didn't get to bring any in to "his chool", as he calls it.
I told the boys that valentines day is the day we tell our friends and family how much we love them, and Ash said "My love Zava". Zava is a little girl in his classroom, and a very spunky one too. She is the only second-year girl, and Ash's teacher told us she to loves to get all of the attention from the little boys that are also second-years.
I'm looking forward to opening all of the boy's valentines with them after school, and eating lunch from Evan's Street with all of my boys.
Happy love day!
