Can you spot the climbers?
My head is spinning at the breakneck pace of the last few days.
Wednesday was the last weekday the boys would be home, so I packed them up and headed to Cabela's. In retrospect, not one of my best ideas. The boys had fun, but I felt like they were at the brink of disaster the whole time. Don't touch those guns... Get your head out of the railing... Leave the ammo display alone...
Thursday was filled with chores and cleaning, and after I got the boys from school they watched another episode of the Smurfs. I rented it from Netflix, and Mason LOVES it. Ash, of course, is "cared" of Gargomel. Then Mason had soccer practice (he went with our lovely neighbors. Thank God for good neighbors!) and Ash, Blake and I went to curriculum night at St. Joe's. It was the first one I've attended, and what an eye opener. This school and these teachers amaze me. Miss Linda, who both boys have in the morning, spoke at one point about the importance of a peaceful environment for the children. I love that idea, and the security it gives the kids each day when they come to school. I'm also embarrassed their home environment is somewhat lacking in the peace department. Something to strive for! We got home well after bedtime, so Ash only had a few minutes with Sean before Sean's weekend trip to NC.
Sean left at about 4:00 this morning, and has already made it to Charlotte. I handled the morning routine solo (and quite well, I might add) and then Blake and I ran some errands before finally sitting down to rest at home. Tomorrow is the first game of the season for Mason, and Mimi will be here to help us out in the morning. I hope Sunday is truly a day of rest.
I forgot-
Blake is getting SO BIG! He is closing in on 16 lbs, and is getting rolls where you wouldn't think it possible. Today he is my little cowpoke- pictures later!
