Lovely day

It is that energizing time of year, with brisk mornings and warm sunny afternoons. All of us are enjoying being outside and the new smells and colors in our neighborhood. Blake loves to be in the fresh air, and he is happiest outside. When we pick up the boys from school we bring a small blanket and he lays in the grass and waits for his brothers. This is my favorite time of day; reunited with my boys and smothered in stories about the day and hasty hugs. You can't help but feel loved at after school pick-up.

Soccer practice was interesting tonight. The kids had a scrimmage, and Mase decided halfway through it that the kids in the blue look like fun....so he trotted over to the other side of the field to chat with them. He was having a hard time focusing, but when he did he played really well and seemed to enjoy it. We have a lot of fans coming to the game on Saturday, and Mase is hoping to play goalie for at least part of the game. The boys are going to go home with Mimi after the game to spend the night, and they are SO excited. That means that Sean and I can take just Blake to Donovan's baptism, which will be worlds easier.

Tomorrow is picture day for Blakers, and a sort of date-during-the-day for Sean and I. I'm looking as forward to it as I would have a real date six years ago!
