Friday we took the boys costume-shopping and out to dinner, and Mason's reversible spiderman suit (with added muscles) has already logged some long hours of play. He showed it off to Grandma and Poppa, Grandpa, and every neighbor or friend that has crossed our path. Ashton is still waiting for me to track down his lightning McQueen costume, poor kid, Target was all sold out.
Saturday we spent the whole afternoon at Adrian College, and the kids had a wonderful time. Mason rode a horse for the first time, and Ashton took a train ride around the mall, in the yellow car, of course. There were lots of animals to pet and feed, Mason fell in love with a little floppy-eared bunny and tried to walk off with it while Ash fed yogurt to a cute pink piglet off a spoon. Then the boys played on the bouncers for what seemed like an eternity. We met Donovan and spent some time with him before deciding the boys had hit a wall and to make a speedy exit. The boys still managed to have enough energy to keep the babysitter busy that evening while we went back to Amber and Don's house with Blake. We never made it to the game, and I still haven't seen the Ice Arena, but we had a great night out.
Sunday was all about relaxing and being lazy, and today it's business as usual.
