We had a very full weekend, but managed to make it to the Halloween celebration at the zoo despite a dreary-looking weather forecast. Mason went to a birthday party Friday and got to play laser tag and ice skate, two firsts for him. Saturday was the soccer game (another loss) and then we went to the family center to check out the pool and other facilities. Sunday was the zoo's Pumpkin Path, and it turned out to be a beautiful, sunny afternoon. So warm we were shedding our layers halfway through the candy route. The boys got to practice trick-or-treating and play some fun games, and then we went out for lunch. Each boy chose one piece of candy to eat on the way home, I've never seen such joy over a box of Mike & Ike's.
Oh- and we finally got around to carving the pumpkins. I attempted an Obama pumpkin, and the logo looks O.K., but I couldn't manage the name. The kids didn't like it at all, they didn't understand what it was supposed to be.
Tomorrow I get to visit in the classroom, cross your fingers for me that Blake behaves!
