Up and down, down and up.

Today was a "roller coaster" day with the boys. Mason tested my willpower and patience at Toys R Us when we went to purchase the swingset for Ashton's birthday today. Needless to say, he did NOT get a new bike today. On the bright side, it gave me a chance to try out some of the new tools in my mama belt; learned at Love and Logic. I need some practice, but once we both get used to them I think the techniques will work splendidly.

One more chick today, and another working at it. Yesterday Mason and I did a chick art project, where we glued yellow feathers, easter grass and pom-poms to a chick that we colored. I thought it was so clever (any who can deny the fun of glue sticks?) but the whole thing took longer to think up than to make. No wonder art is being cut in schools! All that prep and cleanup for 5 minutes of self-expression.
