Garage-sale blues

Whose popsicle is the biggest?

We have a lot to update! Mason's room is nearly finished, we only need to put the clouds on the ceiling and then I will post before and after shots. Yesterday was the first day of T-ball (early baseball) but Mason didn't play. I thought it started at 5, but it started at 6. Oops! By the time the coaches and other players were ready, Mason, Ash, Mimi and I had had enough sun. We decided to enjoy the splash pad instead. Mason was briefly bothered about missing practice, but the lure of the spray park was too great. He and Sean had spent time practicing hitting and catching for several days, and I'm amazed at how much improvement a little practice time can give.

Today was the first day of our garage sale with the Cornacks. The kids sold lemonade and (briefly) cookies and zucchini bread. The cookies wilted in the heat, and the bread got eaten, smooshed and thrown. We did O.K. sales-wise, but it was just awful having to stay outside in the heavy heat. The garage didn't give any protection, and the kids were all as cranky as I felt. Ash climbed out of his crib three times, refusing a nap. Popsicles, lemonade, and the sprinkler barely made a dent in our sweatiness. When attitudes flared with the (older) dynamic duo in the afternoon, we had to call it quits for the day and return everyone to their own camps. Now we are relaxing in the air conditioning, and this is one day that I won't feel bad about staying in on.

One more day!

Come buy our stuff!
