Spending boy-time with Uncle Chad
Today was going to be all about sleeping in and taking our time to get around and head up to the lake. Instead, Sean and I woke up to the melodious sounds of Abby puking on the bedroom floor. I'm not sure what bothered her, but it looked like she threw up a small creature. Easy to clean up though! After that mess, Ashton kicked his way free of the bedrail and made his way to our room. I scooped him up and off to the living room to snuggle on the couch and watch "tartoons" and Mason joined us soon after we settled in. I love to have both boys in my arms and on my lap, cuddled up in a blanket. There is nothing better in this world.
Sean eventually roused himself and went out to get us a greasy but delicious breakfast at the City Limits Diner. After breakfast we all pitched in and straightened up the house before heading off to the lake. The boys are always happy to go, but we especially enjoyed ourselves on this trip. A lot of the family that we don't usually see were there, and the boys got Uncle Chad all to themselves. Hanna, Jess and Tyler were there, as well as Uncle Bill and Roseanne, and it was nice to see them all. Ash took a few spills under water, but an outing would be uncharacteristic if it were missing an ashtastrophe!
Tonight both boys went down like a dream, and maybe tomorrow we will sleep in.
