Did anyone see this story this A.M.? A playground in Arlington, TX spontaneously combusted! The kicker is that the temperature was only 99 degrees when it happened. Unbelievable!
The kids and I are playing hooky from playgroup today, because it it too cold to swim. We have been rediscovering old toys (Floppy Jalopy, anyone?) and just putzing around. I tried to do Sharon Mann's Yo-lates class on the fitness channel, but Ash got interested and tried to do it with me, which meant he had to lay ON me. Cute, but exasperating. A half an hour is too much to ask, some mornings!
Mason had a great time getting his eyes and ears tested, I think he thought it was a game. Both testers told him he was "perfect", so we got to hear about that all day. (I was so sure that he would have had problems with his hearing.... ). Ashton got his hearing tested as well, I was amazed that they can test at his age. He passed with flying colors, so now I know that when he doesn't seem to hear me, it's selective.
