We've had a nice weekend with the boys. We went bowling, learned how to play Chutes and Ladders and taught Mason Go Fish!. The boys had a good time at the bowling alley, although Ash complained that it was "too loud". He liked playing using the ramp, and had a pretty decent score for a two year old. We realized after the first game that one game is plenty, and that we should only have two players on the board. It was so hard for Ashton to wait his turn, he wanted to go over and over.
Chutes & Ladders was great for Mason, but way too involved for Ash, who had more fun just moving the people up the ladders and down the slides. Go Fish! was a great game for Mason, he really loved the instant gratification of making matches, and didn't pout if he lost. Mase wanted to continue on our game theme and open up his chess set. He's going to have to wait until Uncle Derk can teach him how to play. I can handle Go Fish!, but I don't have the rules of Chess down yet.
The boys rearranged the furniture in the living room while I pulled out the old maternity clothes box and fit everything in my closet. Now I feel like I'm in someone else's house when I walk into the living room.
Back to school tomorrow, and this time for a full, blessed week.
