The boys are so excited I feel like it's Christmas time again! Both boys had a hard time falling asleep last night, the day has finally come to head to the Kalahari. I only hope for them that it lives up to their expectations, and for me, that it is over quickly and painlessly. We are excited to see uncle Jerome again, Mason is already planning his water attack. I was careful to explain that if you "shoot" uncle Rome with the water cannons, he will get you back in some way shape or form. Age is no barrier to revenge for him! We have packed card games and puzzles to play in the evenings, and lots of good food.
Mimi made her weekly visit yesterday, and we had a great time with her as usual. Doing what? Puzzles, of course! Mason is not modest about his superior puzzling ability, as he will tell you: "I am the king of doing puzzles". We worked on a 100-piece pirate's bounty puzzle and a dump truck puzzle. I wish there were a toy library here in Tecumseh, because I would love to be able to check out puzzles like we do books. If anyone has a child who likes puzzles as well as mine does and is interested in a puzzle-swap, let me know!
Next week is busy and exciting, there is so much going on I am afraid I'll forget. We have the ultrasound, the mother and son dance, a sleepover, music class, Ashton's overnight with Mimi, and most exciting-- a rock-star birthday party for our rock-princess Peyton. At least we won't be bored!
