My Little Fish

Last night was Mason's final swim class, or would have been, but I signed him up for another session. The classes went so well I thought it would be a good idea to keep going so he is ready for summertime swimming. I was that mom again as I videotaped Mase on the diving board last night, but I couldn't resist. He did a wonderful job overall, and learned a lot of new skills that I couldn't imagine him doing two weeks ago. The best part is that he is comfortable and confident in the water. Bike riding has really taken off also, Mason is good enough on his two wheels that he and Sean can go for rides together around the neighborhood. It may be time for a bigger bike, he has to work hard to keep up with dad. Grandpa came to visit with us last night for dinner, and he stayed to see Mason swim, which was wonderful. It was nice to have an extra set of hands at the pool to keep Ash entertained.
The boys are a little upset that Sean is "at the city"; at his seminar in Traverse City, but I am doing my best to keep them distracted. Tonight will be easy because Mimi and Suepy are coming for movie night, and the boys can't wait. I ordered Annie, but I don't think it will come in time so we may end up renting something else. Mason is excited to have an audience for his second soccer game tomorrow morning; Mimi, Suepy, Grandma and Papa are coming, and maybe Jack. We are the snack -family this week too, which makes it even more fun. Last week's game earned Mason a mention in the Tecumseh Herald for scoring a goal, (!) my first scrapbook article for him.
