Let's make a Deal

In a nutshell, this video was our Saturday (and part of Sunday). Soccer was cancelled, Farmer's Market reduced to a quick trip, and Robert's birthday celebration was water-logged and re-located.

We have spent this Sunday waiting for Daddy/Sean to come home. It has been a long wait. Negotiation is the name of the game around here lately. Mason is in a "I'll-do-this-when-you-do-that" phase. If I say "Put on your pajamas" he says "I will if you leave". If I ask him to finish his chicken, he will do it gladly as long as I serve him some milk first. He works his powers of persuasion all day long, the most common phrase from his mouth being "But Mommy, please!". Most of the dealing is not fraught with drama, but still, by the end of the day it's worn me out. The important thing is that we made it (!!!) all by ourselves for a whole weekend without Dad. (and a little help from Mimi, of course).

Next weekend is coming quickly, but I have the whole week to rest up and prepare.
