Rolling with the punches

The boys are slowly adjusting to their routine, having school every day this week has made a noticeable difference in their attitudes and energy levels. Both of them are tired at the end of the school day, and when snack doesn't perk them up and chase away the crankies I have no qualms about letting them snuggle up on the couch and watch a movie for a while. Especially Ash, sweet little fellow! He seems to be affected more than Mason. In addition to the tiredness is the attitude, which plays out in some morning grumpies with Ash but on a much bigger scale with Mason. We spent the better part of our afternoon yesterday in Damage Control after he decided to test the limits of Mom's authority. Hopefully (knock on wood) this afternoon will be less dramatic than that. The brightside is that the boys seem to take turns, so I don't have to manage two cranky monsters at the same time.
