Today was Mason's first soccer practice, so of course my camera battery died. He has a new coach but several of the same teammates that he had last season, plus some other familiar faces. The practice went well and I really liked his coach- he is the principal of *two* elementary schools, and he has a way with kids that is commanding but still fun. Mason was worn out 5 minutes before practice was over, and I'm glad that we didn't have school today, because then he really would have been spent.
Ashton spent the whole practice grumping & jumping. He whined and cried about everything he could imagine to whine about, and when he wasn't doing that he was jumping from the bleachers into the wet grass (it sprinkled on us during the practice).
Blake slept in the sling for 95% of the time, and just stared at the field over my shoulder the other 5%.
