Sean and I had our Friday date day today, and we got all of our Christmas shopping finished. I feel like I've finished a marathon, ha ha. There are so many fun toys out there, and so many things the boys would love that it's hard to keep it simple. Our agenda for the weekend includes putting up the Christmas tree since we will be gone for Thanksgiving, which means we will be ready for Santa sooner than ever this year. We have been really enjoying getting out the seasonal odds and ends now that the boys remember them. The snow globes and ornaments are more special to me now that they are special to the kids. I decided that we could decorate with tinsel for the first time (I have a nice vacuum, why not?). I remember Uncle Rome chucking gobs of it in uneven clumps all over the bottom of the tree, and me following after him picking them apart and redistributing them over the branches. I can already see Mason bossing Ash about how to put it on and where it goes.
With the snow on the ground outside and Christmas decor inside, it feels like holiday time to me.
