Donovan has help opening his Christmas gift

Derk and Arika's flight has been cancelled, but they were lucky enough to get a later one tonight (8:30 into DTE), so cross your fingers that everything runs smoothly for them on their second trip to the airport. The boys are bummed, they may be in bed by the time Leo gets here, but we're hopeful that he will make it before Santa does.


We had a really wonderful time last night, the boys love a party. Ashton dressed up in his handsome boy clothes, and Mason opted for jammies, but both generously applied Dad's cologne for the occasion. All of the kids had a great time, but Donovan and Blake outlasted the older boys by several hours. We had party food, presents and good company, all of the essential ingredients for a fun celebration.
This morning we are making a batch of Christmas Mac' n cheese (add diced red & green peppers) and then we will make some cookies for Santa before Uncle Rome arrives.
