Birthdays and Birth Days

We are celebrating another year of life, and also another new life.

Travis's birthday is today (happy birthday, Trav!) and Mason keeps asking: why aren't we going to Travy's birthday? At his age, birthday is synonymous with party. I hate to spoil his worldview filled with presents, cake, and rosiness all around just yet.

Uncle Tony and aunt Jami are expecting a baby, (!!!!!!!!) and Brianna is going to be a big sister. Mason wants her to have a brother (so do I!) and Ash hasn't voted yet. I think Sean is rooting for a girl. Anyway it plays out, we are all so excited. Nothing is better than a new baby, especially if you aren't the one who has to give birth. I have been frittering away my time at cafepress looking at "big sister in training" t shirts, when I need to be packing for Springfield.

We leave tomorrow, but I'm not sure when, because Grandpa isn't returning anybody's calls. Arggh!
