Date Night

Mason and I had our date night tonight! I relished every moment. I got to listen to him fill me in on all of the little details that I sometimes miss. Favorite colors, (they change constantly with him) favorite buddies, superheroes, cartoons, etc. were demystified. He didn't order for me, but when it came time for dessert he lost his shyness and ordered the "lava cake for two, please" loud and clear. He had mac and cheese and two Shirley Temples, and I had the tenderloin. Date night doesn't get much better than that! We stretched out the evening with appetizers and conversation, and the highlight for him was when our favorite waiter addressed him as "Dr. Edison". He asked me "Mama, am I handsomer than you?" You sure are, buddy.
I wanted to have a picture to post, but my camera is on the fritz. Mason spent a long time picking out the perfect "handsome boy clothes" for our evening, and without a picture, you will have to trust me that he really did look like a perfect little gentleman.
