I got my new cookbook (Thanks, Suepy!) Saturday, and I have made two meals from it today. The boys have no idea that they are getting so many veggies snuck into their favorite foods. O.K., so maybe they had an idea this morning, because I made "green eggs". I tried to bill them as monster eggs, but Mason took one bite and said "are these made of spinach?" at least he still ate them. If fact, both boys ate them all, and I was thrilled that they ate at least a 1/4 pound of baby spinach each before school. Score one for mom.
Ashton is upstairs sleeping, he is STILL recovering from Saturday's festivities at Uncle Tony's house. This is the longest nap he's had in months. Both boys (and their parents) had a fantastic time at the fall party. The kids all dressed up in costumes and Jami had lots of fun games and activities for them to do. I think the hayride was the biggest hit of the evening, the older boys Jestin and Travis jumped out and scared the little ones on the wagon. We kept the boys up until 9:30 (!!!) and then they slept at Grandma and Papa's house. Laura took some great pictures of the whole night, but I can't get them up : ( After Saturday Mase is especially excited to spend the night with Brianna on Friday.
Sunday was lazy-day for us, we did not accomplish much until football. The Packers played the Steelers, and got annihilated. The Steelers were a husky, pushy grabby kind of team, which all of their fathers seemed to love and encourage. Mason got to run the ball once, but ran the wrong way before turning around and then getting tripped. Two more games- I think he would love an audience (Mimi) for one of them.
Our phone is still acting crazy, so cell phones are the only way to go if you need to contact us.
