Yesterday the family took the boys and I to the Airforce Museum in Dayton for the afternoon. I thought, "sure, airplanes, the boys will think it's cool". I had no idea how GINORMOUS this place really is. There were two hangars filled with all different types of WWII planes and paraphernalia, plus scads of other displays, movies and exhibits. It was really overwhelming, and I kind of wished I could explore it without the boys. There was a plane you could walk inside and make a loop of, looking at the interior and then exiting out the nose. There was another one that the boys could sit in the cockpit of and pretend they were pilots- they especially loved that one. I took goo gobs of pictures, but will have to wait until we get home to post them. I wish I knew more about the history involved with WW!!, because a lot of the significance was lost on me. I will print some of the pictures for Poppo, though, and maybe he can tell us some stories.
The boys have been sleeping great here, partially because they are staying up so late and partially because they are running themselves silly with Pierson. We got up at 8:00 today (now it's 10:00, and we are still the only three up in the whole Higgins household) and made ourselves a yummy breakfast. We're all glad to be heading back to good old Tecumseh to see Dad/Sean and Abbers.
See you soon!
