Happy Anniversary

The perfect way to spend a snowy winter day; Dad reads The Butter Battle Book to his boys.

Four years and counting! Sean and I celebrated last night with a wonderful meal at the Earle in Ann Arbor, (thanks for the recommendation, Heather). We had massages first and then walked to the restaurant for dinner. The food was fantastic, the service even better. On our way back to the car we stopped at a chocolate shop reminiscent of Tecumseh's Chocolate Vault, and treated ourselves as well as the babysitter and the boys to various chocolate creations. Mine are gone already. Tawni reported that the boys had been good, and so tired that they went to bed around 6:45! I wish I could spy on her and see how she manages to get them down so easily, it is humbling to know one teenage girl can do everything I do in the evening with better temper and the same results. Regardless, I am grateful to have her! I think Sean is glad that we celebrated yesterday, because there is some sort of game he wants to watch on TV today.

Yesterday Sean got to take Ashton to music class and Mason came with me to breakfast. The arrangement was good for everyone, Sean enjoyed taking Ash to the "soshee shop" and to get pretzels; and you can't help but have fun watching Ash do his thing in music class. Mason and I also had a wonderful morning; he talked my ear off about superheroes, the new baby, and Buzz Lightyear on the trip there. Uncle Brad was a surprise guest at breakfast, which made Mason's morning. He absolutely adores uncle Brad, and having Mimi, Brad, Suepy and Mom all to himself was the highlight of his week. We spent a good part of the morning at Target, playing with all of the toys (except for the two pink isles) and discussing which things would be best for Peyton, Ashton and Leo's birthday gifts.

This week is uneventful, but we are going to miss our Mimi. Maybe she can bring some Florida sunshine home with her.
