Ash got an impromptu haircut tonight, after Mimi and the boys decided to play "barbershop" while I ran errands. Meems stripped Ash of his curls, leaving him with wispy feathers all over the back of his head reminiscent of the 70's. Needless to say, we called the hair salon in town and got him in for a fix-it job and his first real "big-boy" haircut. (sorry, mom) He has no curls, and you can see his entire neck and ears, which is a little shocking after the shaggy blong waves he has sported for so long. It looks like every other little boy's haircut now, which makes me sad, but I have to admit that I really think he looks adorable. You can see so much more of his face- and that can never be a bad thing. Luckily Mason skated by with only a trim of the bangs, so no emergency measures were needed.
Jungle Java was a really good trip, until it filled up and we fled to Panera for some reprieve. Mason had a minor injury falling through the "tree", but other than that all of the kids had a great time- and were really good. I'm starting to love my XM radio, Mason and Jack were entertained by the kids station most of the way there and back. I thought I would dread long trips without the DVD player, but they proved music can be just as entertaining. Apparently, "La Bamba" is hilarious!
Mason learned how to work a yo-yo today, and also the warrior pose in yoga class. He has been showing us both of them over, and over, and over.
