Yay, Farm share!

This was our first farm-share week, better late than never. The weather caused a two-week delay, but everything is just as delicious as usual. We bought extra swiss chard and basil, and have already eaten both. It took me only seconds to decide our extra basil would have a new life as some pecan-pesto, and we gobbled it up over pasta and sauteed swiss chard. Fresh pesto is the best summer taste in the world. That lunch alone was enough to put the boys and I in a terrific mood for the afternoon.
The boys are both napping, and then we get to party at the pool to celebrate Sean's eight years of being in business. The best part about the soiree this year is that I don't have to clean, cook, or do after-party damage control. We got some extra inflatable rings so the kids won't fight over them (same size, same color) and a really big ride-on pool shark. After the work party we will come home and visit the neighbor's graduation party. The boys are anxious to test out the bouncy they rented, we'll see how much energy they have left after swimming all day.
