A long, hot day

We ventured out to the zoo yesterday, all three kiddos in tow. We wanted to have a family outing together before Sean's hours at the office change and the kids are back in school. It was hot and busy at the zoo, but it is always a good time there, and yesterday was no exception. Blake was a happy little trooper and seemed to enjoy the sloth bears more than anything (they were the only animal he really looked at). Both big boys were great until it was time to go, then they dragged their feet every step of the way.

In the early evening we went to Devils Lake to see Grandma and Grandpa Hanna's ashes scattered on the lake in front of their old home. The grand and great-grand children watched from the pontoon boat while the Hanna siblings did the honors. It was a nice ceremony we were happy to be a part of.

We were just whipped, emotionally and physically after the day was done, and all of us slept hard when we got home.
