Our long weekend is over, but we really enjoyed four days of not rushing in the morning. Saturday we surprised the boys and took them swimming at the Christian Center, and we had a really good time. Blake stayed dry but still enjoyed watching the big boys, who swam until purple lips and empty bellies finally won out. Mason and Sean tried the climbing walls, and Ashton must have gone down the slide 50 or more times before we were through. It was the perfect way to spend a snowy afternoon, and judging by the crowd we weren't the only ones who thought so.
Sunday was our Thanksgiving celebration at Grandma and Papa's, and we had all of the traditional trimmings plus some new dishes. We tried a sweet potato pie for the first time, and will definitely make it again for Thanksgiving number 2 in Springfield. The boys had a great time playing and eating, and after watching the fuss over the baby doll I think I know what is on the top of Ashton's list this year.
Today Blake and I dropped the boys off at school and met up with Heather for coffee... peace at last.
Tomorrow I get to read to the boy's class, I can't wait!
