Marathon Birthday

Today the boys and I are spending one-on-one time together for my birthday, and so far it's been wonderful. Ash and I went bouncing and had lunch together this morning, and Mason and I will go bowling together this afternoon. I had such a great time bouncing with Ashton, he is so much fun to play with. I have to admit though, that after a solid hour of bouncing and make-believe I was worn out.
This morning we made a practice batch of sticky cinnamon buns. We're making them for breakfast Christmas morning, and I wanted to make sure they turned out ok. Ash was my helper again, and we pawned off the extras on the neighbors. All of our cookie-baking is done, but at the rate we're going through the cut outs we may have to make a few more for Santa. This year Christmas break came at the perfect time- just when it was getting hard to get the kids going in the morning and we're all happy to stay snuggled up at home. It's been great the past few days, our break started early and the older boys are re-discovering every toy in the playroom. Mr. Potatohead has made a comeback, we've been playing a lot of twister and a lot of the boys' favorite, 'hallway dodge ball'. The last consists of Sean throwing a foam football at the boys as they try to outrun it down the basement hallway. Sometimes the simplest games are the most entertaining.

I think it's "Mr. Potatoehead".
