We had a great time at Donovan's first birthday party, and stayed for a looong time. He is such a fun little boy, sweet and playful- and just getting comfortable on his feet. We missed Ashton, and hated for him to miss the festivities, but truth be told he was having more fun with Mimi. He did not try to spare my feelings when I asked if he had missed me, answering with a quick and certain "no". I can't compete with undivided attention, the monkey jump, movies and a Mimi who lets him into her bed. Fortunately Mason missed having his little brother to play with, and they have been happily catching each other up all afternoon.

While Ash was away we let Mason stay up an hour later than usual, and we rented the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT for those of you not in the know). It is now Mason's favorite movie, and Sean and I are being bombarded with TMNT trivia.

Blake was busy testing out his new teeth on anything and everything he could get into his mouth including me. We may switch to the bottle sooner that I had anticipated.

Tuesday is a very important day.....Grandpa's birthday (ha ha!) We are having him over for dinner and German chocolate cake. Then Papa is coming over to have dinner and cake for his birthday. Soon after is Sean-daddy's birthday, then Uncle Derk. Loosen your belts a notch for all of this celebrating- Uncle Derk, yours will have to be a virtual cake. Any kind you want!
