Everyone was trying to beat the heat today, check out our new little frog friend. We discovered him squished between the clear panel of the birdhouse and the glass of our dining room window. The boys and I spent quite a bit of time at lunch discussing how he got there, who he is, and how he will ever get out.
This morning our playdate went well, Zach was the perfect foil for Mason and Ashton, and older sis Savannah just hung out and chatted with the moms. Evan was as easy-going as ever, and all of the kids are eagerly awaiting next week's get together (it helps that Anne has a pool!).
After being stuck in the house all day I gave in and took the boys to the splash pad this afternoon. They had fun, but I could not believe the size of the other kids. I actually thought three of them were adults until we got close. My kids looked like peanuts next to them, and they aren't small kids. It makes me angry with their parents, because those kids don't have a fighting chance to be healthy. Supersize nation, indeed.
I gave Mason an impromptu haircut when we got home, it's not up to salon standards but not horrible for my first try. And with trimming clippers!
