Yesterday was a nice and cozy family day. It began with Ashton's music class, which only had two kids in it because of the weather. Ash didn't mind, he had a great time anyway. After music we met Mimi and Ash left for his sleepover adventure. Mason got to be a rock star for a few hours at Peyton's 6th birthday party. I have pictures of all of the little Hannah Montanas, I'll post them as soon as I find my camera. Mason was slow to warm, because he was the only boy and didn't know the little girls who were invited. No child can resist real drums, an electric guitar with an amp, and an awesome guitar birthday cake though, and he got in the rock-star spirit with a little help from Peyton's Grandma, Aunt Heather, and Dad Chris. By the time we got home he gave Sean an earful of what a good time he had. I felt partially deaf- little girls are LOUD! Even without the instruments. After the party Mason was mopey and disappointed that Brianna didn't come to stay the night with us, and Sean and I tried to make it up the best we could. We took him to the video store and let him pick out some movies, Spy Kids and The Black Cauldron. We watched The Black Cauldron after dinner with some popcorn and lots of snuggles on the couch.
Today we will remember Grandma Hanna with all of her family and friends. It will be a tough day for everyone, but the boys and I are going to put on our best love and support faces for Dad and Grandma Kim.
